SUBURBAN WASHINGTON D.C. – DAVIS Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a window film removal and installation project for their client, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency [PFPA].
DAVIS will be renovating the 3rd floor of a suburban Washington, D.C. building in which the PFPA, a civilian law enforcement organization within the Department of Defense, is the tenant.
Phase 1 of Commercial Window Shield’s role in the project will be to remove the blast mitigation window film the company installed in 2002 from all exterior windows.
As part of its renovation process, DAVIS will be turning the entire floor into a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility [SCIF]. SCIF’s are specially-designed spaces that guard against electronic surveillance as well as suppressing data leakage of sensitive military and security information.
For its Phase 2 project component, Commercial Window Shield will be installing Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding film on all exterior 3rd floor windows. The RF film adds an extra layer of protection against any cyber or other electronic surveillance threats.
The film removal and RF shielding window film installation components of the project will begin in the fall. Commercial Window Shield will work closely with DAVIS contactors to ensure a smooth and on-time project process.
