Va. Contractor Hires CWS for RF Window Film Installation Project
CHARLOTTSVILLE, Va. – Commercial Window Shield has been hired by a Virginia contractor for a radio frequency [RF] window film installation project for an energy and defense company.
The RF film installation is part of an overall buildout of two floors by Hourigan Construction for their client, General Atomics.
Specifically, Commercial Window Shield will be installing the radio frequency film on 215 windows.
RF film provides a fool-proof method of preventing electronic eavesdropping and theft of secure and classified information from computers and cell phones through window glass.
Alarmingly, this has become a serious issue in high-security office buildings and in offices with computers storing vital information, either for the federal government or the private sector. Commercial Window Shield has become one of the country’s leading installers of radio frequency [RF] window film.
As with all its projects involving buildouts, Commercial Window Shield will work closely with other contractors in scheduling its RF window film installation work.
The project is expected to begin in early 2023.
Commercial Window Shield is one of the country’s leading installers of all types of window films and have a particularly strong history working with some of the country’s top general contractors. The company has also completed security, solar control, smart, switchable and decorative/privacy window film projects for DAVIS, Harvey-Cleary, HITT, Gilbane Building Co., Rand Construction and D Watts Construction.
The company’s major focus in its nearly 40 years in business has been security and solar control window film installation. Its clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
