LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Commercial Window Shield has been hired for Phase 2 of a reflective solar control and security window film project for the Arkansas National Guard. The project involves securing entranceway glass in 31 National Guard buildings around the state.
The security-related project evolved out of a similar project with the Tennessee National Guard, which secured the windows in all of its facilities after a gunman killed four Marines in a shooting spree in 2015 at a recruiting center and Navy reserve facility miles apart.
The film Commercial Window Shield will be installing is highly reflective, creating a mirror-like finish preventing passersby from seeing inside the building. The security component of the film will strengthen the glass in all the buildings’ entranceways.
Shields & Associates of Little Rock, Ark. is the project contractor who hired Commercial Window Shield. The project will begin in the spring.
Commercial Window Shield has considerable experience with solar control and security window film installation projects at U.S. and state military bases and facilities nationwide. The company has completed window film installation projects at Edwards, Wright Patterson, Whiteman and Shaw Air Force bases; at General Mitchell Air Reserve Station; and for the U.S. Coast Guard and the New Mexico National Guard.
With more than 30 years experience, Commercial Window Shield is the nation’s leading shatter resistant and solar control window film installers. The U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, O’Hare International Airport, the Willis Tower [former Sears Tower], Merrill Lynch headquarters, and the Denver and Philadelphia mints feature solar control and security window films installed by Commercial Window Shield.
