Harvey-Cleary Hires CWS for Shell Corp. Decorative Window Film Installation Project
WASHINGTON – Commercial Window Shield has been retained by Harvey-Cleary Builders for a decorative window film installation project for Shell, the world’s 5th largest oil company.
The project, at 1050 K St. NW, involves installing custom decorative film on all office fronts and conference rooms on two floors of the building, which Harvey Cleary is renovating. The decorative film Commercial Window Shield is installing is known as a distraction band design. Multiple strips of decorative film are installed horizontally across the glass. The result is a safety feature to help make building tenants aware of the clear glass and avoid accidents.
The project will begin in late June and be completed in time for Shell’s July move-in date. As always, Commercial Window Shield will work closely with other contractors to coordinate schedules.
The company has worked with Harvey-Cleary on numerous other window film installation projects. In addition to Harvey-Cleary, Commercial Window Shield has worked with many of the country’s top general contractors over the years, including DAVIS, HITT, Rand Construction, DPR Construction, Gilbane and May Construction.
In addition to privacy/decorative window film installation, Commercial Window is a leading installer of security and solar control window films, radio frequency [RF] films, switchable smart films, anti-bird strike films, and polycarbonate protective glass systems.
Commercial Window Shield’s many clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
