DAVIS Retains CWS for Decorative Film Installation Project in Nation’s Capital
WASHINGTON – DAVIS Construction has hired Commercial Window Shield for a decorative/privacy window film installation project for a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Washington’s central business district.
DAVIS will be doing a complete buildout on three floors at 2200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW for its client Danahar, a global science and technology company with 80,000 employees.
For its role in the buildout, Commercial Window Shield will be installing standard decorative film, also known as privacy film, on all office fronts and conference room glass. The film, which will cover all of the glass, will provide both privacy and an attractive design element.
Commercial Window Shield will begin installation of the decorative film in late summer. It will coordinate its schedule with other on-site sub-contractors to ensure there will be no conflicts and that the work will be completed on time.
Commercial Window Shield and DAVIS have collaborated on a number of window film installation projects over the years. In July, 2021, DAVIS hired the company to install three types of window film at a complete building renovation at 1275 New Jersey Ave. SE., new corporate headquarters for Chemonics. Previously, DAVIS hired Commercial Window Film to install decorative window film at PBS headquarters in Arlington, Va. and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention building in Washington. The company also completed multiple window film project for DAVIS at the historic Warner building, also in Washington.
Commercial Window Shield is one of the country’s leading installers of all types of window films and have a particular strong history working with some of the country’s top general contractors. Commercial Window Shield has also completed security, solar control, RF, smart, switchable and privacy window film projects for Harvey-Cleary, HITT, Gilbane Building Co., Rand Construction and D Watts Construction.
