BETHESDA, Md. – Harvey Builders have retained Commercial Window Shield to install decorative film on a pair of National Institute of Health buildings in suburban Washington, D.C.

The project involves installing two types of interior decorative film on demountable partition glass at all offices and conference rooms in both buildings, known as Rockledge 1 & 2. In total, Commercial Window Shield will install more then 20,000 sq. ft. of decorative film on 10 floors in each building.

Harvey, a nationally known general contractor based in Houston who has hired Commercial Window Shield for other projects, is currently renovating both buildings. Decorative film installation is one phase of the overall project and will begin in the spring. Commercial Window Film installers will work closely with Harvey’s construction team to coordinate the decorative film project for minimal interference in other renovation activities.

Commercial Window Shield has been prominent in the recent surge in decorative film installation projects, which is a part of the overall change in corporate workspace design. Its recent clients include the Washington Convention Center and Department of Justice.

The company has been a leader for years in solar control and security window film installation. Among its hundreds of projects are the U.S. Capitol, all U.S. House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Veterans Administration and Energy Department headquarters, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, FBI headquarters, Grand Center Terminal, Merrill Lynch towers, George Brown Convention Center in Houston, and the Denver and Philadelphia mints.
