Switchable smart film
For long term client Washington Convention Center, Commercial Window Shield installed switchable smart window film on the interior of both sets of entry doors and the surrounding glass of a Starbucks located inside the convention center. Previously, the convention visitors could see inside the Starbucks even when was closed or when employees were preparing to open. They constantly tried to open the locked doors, which was especially inconvenient for employees doing the opening prep work.
With the installation of the smart film, Starbucks employees are able to keep the film off by the flip of a switch, turning the glass into a privacy wall. When the coffee shop is open, the switch goes back on, allowing passersby to look inside and know that the shop is open
