YORK, Pa. – Harvey-Cleary, one of the country’s leading general contractors, has hired Commercial Window Shield for a project featuring three different types of window film installation.

The project, on a single floor of a building occupied by a federal government agency, involves:

  • The installation of 7-mil clear blast film with a perimeter wet glaze attachment system
  • The installation of Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding Film on windows in high security areas of the space, also with a perimeter wet glaze attachment system
  • The installation of decorative/privacy film on office windows and doors and conference room glass.

The space, leased by the General Services Administration, is undergoing complete renovation, with Harvey-Cleary as the contractor. The company hired Commercial Window Shield because of its considerable experience installing the three types of film.

The project will begin in late spring with a completion date of July.

The Harvey-Cleary project is another example of Commercial Window Shield’s close working relationship with some of the country’s best-known construction companies. Aside from several, successful  window film projects with Harvey-Cleary, the company has completed security, solar control, RF, smart, switchable and privacy window film projects for HITT, Gilbane Building Co. and Davis Construction.

The company’s major focus in its nearly 40 years has been security and solar control window film installation. Its clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
