Project Detail

The city of Jacksonville received a Homeland Security grant to protect all the windows at the University of Florida & Shands Medical Center, which specializes in caring for critically ill patients. The city issued an RFP for the project. Commercial Window Shield, the second lowest bidder, won the bid after the low bid was thrown out for non-compliance. The project specifications by a local film installer called for both mechanical and wet glaze attachment systems. Commercial Window Shield is expert in both methods, as evidenced by the result. The project was completed on time, and Commercial Window Shield was widely praised by project officials for its professionalism and expertise on the project.
