Nature of Project

Radio Frequency Shielding Film Installation

Project Detail

Corenic Construction of Washington, D.C. hired Commercial Window Shield to install a combination fragment retention and radio frequency shielding window film for a high-security federal government tenant at an undisclosed Northern Virginia building. The project involved installing shatter resistant window film that also has radio frequency shielding capabilities on 4,500 square feet of glass on one floor. A wet glaze attachment system was used to adhere the film to the window frames. The fragment retention component of the film holds the glass in place in the event of a bomb or other blast or a foul weather event. The radio frequency shielding film prevents electronic eavesdropping from stealing information from computers and cell phones through the windows.
