Kudos to CWS for Security Window Film Installation Success at Rockwall Schools
ROCKWALL, Texas – Commercial Window Shield has completed a glass protection, anti-intrusion project at a suburban Dallas school district. The project, for Rockwall Independent School District, involved installing safety and security window film with a wet glaze attachment on all vulnerable first floor windows and all entryway glass in 19 school buildings.
Rockwall officials were pleased with the results.
“The installation team performed above our high level of expectation,” said William C. Salee, the schools’ construction project manager. “They worked very efficiently, went out of their way to avoid any distractions for the building occupants, and completed the project in less time than had been anticipated. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship of the installation.”
Rockwall asked for competitive bids and Commercial Window Shield was awarded the project by the school’s construction management division. The growing school district is located in a northeast suburb of Dallas.
The Rockwall project continues a national trend in which school districts are acting to protect their buildings from potential violent intruders with the installation of safety and security window film. Including Rockwall, Commercial Window Shield has protected the glass in more than 250 school buildings in nine states.

With more than 30 years experience, Commercial Window Shield is one of the nation’s leading safety and security, and solar control window film installers. Among its scores of protects, the company has protected windows at the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, Pentagon, all House of Representative buildings, O’Hare International Airport, the Willis Tower [former Sears Tower], Denver Mint, Grand Central Terminal and George R.
