CWS Completes High-Security Installation Project on Tight Deadline
ARLINGTON, Va. – Commercial Window Shield has completed a high-level security window film installation project for Virginia Tech Applied Research Corp.
The project involved installing radio frequency shielding blast protection film on specific windows on a single floor where high-security activity is taking place. The area had been designated a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility [SCIF] by the federal government, which triggered the frequency blast protection film requirement.
Commercial Window Shield responded quickly to a last-minute request as the security window film installation work had to be completed before the company could occupy the space.
Commercial Window Shield also has been retained by Virginia Tech for Phase 2 of a similar project in the same building that will begin at a later date.
Commercial Window Shield is one of the country’s leading installers of security, solar control and other window films. Its security and solar control work can be found on the U.S. Capitol, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, FBI headquarters, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare International Airport, Grand Central Terminal and Merrill Lynch headquarters in NYC.
