MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Commercial Window Shield has completed a a security window film installation project involving the FBI.
Aranov Realty, which is leasing space to the FBI on multiple floors of a Montgomery building, hired the company after learning about its considerable experience installing security films for federal government tenants. In this case, FBI security requirements called for the installation of fragment retention window film on all the windows of the floors it will occupy.
Project specifications were the installation of 8-mil fragment retention film with a four-sided wet glaze attachment system to 210 windows.
The project began last month and was completed on schedule this week to the satisfaction of Aranov and FBI officials.
Previously, Commercial Window Shield installed security window film on other buildings housing the FBI, including its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The company is one of the country’s largest installers of security and solar control window films. Among the hundreds of projects the company has completed in its 30+ years are the U.S. Capitol, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Pentagon, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, O’Hare International and Seattle-Tacoma airports, the Willis Tower [former Sears Tower], the United Nations, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
