CWS Picked for CBRE Colorado GSA-Mandated Window Security Project
May 27, 2011
LAKEWOOD, Colo. - CB Richard Ellis has selected Commercial Window Shield to install fragment retention window film on a four-story building in Lakewood housing the U.S. Department of the Interior.
The work is a lease renewal requirement mandated by the General Services Administration as part of its effort to secure buildings occupied by federal agencies. The contract calls for Commercial Window Shield to install 7-mil clear fragment retention film on the building's 536 windows. The company is using a wet glaze attachment system it has perfected to adhere the film to the windows. In total, 6,870 square feet of window film will be installed.
Boots Construction of Greenwood Village, Colo. is the general contractor on the project. Work began May 16. The project is expected to be completed May 31.
Commercial Window Shield is the world’s largest installer of fragment retention and solar reflective window films. Among the hundreds of projects the company has completed in its 25 years are the U.S. Capitol, House of Representatives, Pentagon, FBI headquarters, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters and O’Hare International Airport.
