The most effective way to reduce the suns heat is to stop it before it passes through the glass and enters the inside of the building. There are several types of exterior products available. These products are generally designed to allow maximum visibility and are installed in such a way that they can be easily moved to get to the glass for cleaning. These products are very effective on sloped glass, atriums or buildings with severe overheating problems.
Energy Saving (or Solar) Films
These products are designed to reduce the amount of heat entering through glass. The primary purpose of these products is to reduce energy consumption, reduce energy bills and increase occupant comfort. These films will also reduce the brightness of the sun and virtually eliminate ultraviolet light. These films are coated with materials that reflect away the suns heat.
