CWS SELECTED FOR IRS SECURITY WINDOW FILM INSTALLATION PROJECT
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. Commercial Window Shield has been selected for a security window film installation project at a Internal Revenue Service building in western West Virginia.
The project involves installing 8-mil clear security film on all the exterior windows of the building, protecting 35,000 sq. ft. of glass. Additionally, roller window shades will be installed on some of the glass.
The safety and security film work is part of a 3-year construction and renovation project involving the consolidation of three IRS Enterprising Computing Centers into the Kearneysville building. Facility Support Services, a Gibsonia, Pa., construction company, won the bid over two other companies. FSS chose Commercial Window Shield for the glass protection component because of the company’s vast experience in safety and security window film installation spanning 35 years.
Film installation will begin in early January. Once installed, the safety and security film will hold the building’s glass in place in case of any catastrophic terrorist or weather event, protecting the occupants.
Commercial Window Shield is the country’s largest installer of safety and security window films. Among the hundreds of projects the company has completed in its 35 years are the U.S. Capitol, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, the Pentagon, FBI headquarters, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, O’Hare International Airport, the Willis Tower [former Sears Tower], the United Nations, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
